I'm not a huge fan of the whimsical writing style, but overall I liked the story and characters. Love Frankenstein so this fell into my interests.

There's some clunky and unnecessary scenes (to name a few without spoilers: the overheard misunderstanding, the tussle with the landscapers, the intimate scene towards the end) that dropped my rating.

Simon was my favorite; I liked his mannerisms and way of thinking. Not sure I buy into his growth at the end; it doesn't feel totally earned. I find myself wishing Jennifer got something more at the end. Trying to pick out what we can take from her story and it just seems a bit sad.
