If the child of Agatha Christie and Quantum Leap got together with the child Black Mirror and Groundhog Day... you'd end up with this book.

I think I'll have to re-read this one just to appreciate the level of plotting that went into it. I am sure I missed a lot of things, but overall, I was just really impressed with the author's ability to blend the narrator (it's a first person book) with the characters he's seeing the world through.

Very creative, interesting... a house party mystery that held my interest!

If I have any complaints, it's that it did get a little complex to follow, but even still, I felt the author did a great job of tying things all together and making this ultimately very satisfying.

I feel disappointed cause I really wanted to like this but no it was just to boring. It’s the first mystery book I was just ready to skip to the end for and to be honest once you get past the third host you can skip to the end and feel like you did not miss much. Honestly, all I could think about was that maybe this would be more fun as a doctor who episode instead(cause I actually know more about those characters than I do Aiden and Anna after 480 pages of them) but that’s a kind of a hard recommendation to sell this book on.

Keeping up the idea of this instead as a Doctor Who AU In my opinion I would say let’s just make it about 10 and River Song with like a weeping Angel (or some character created by Steven Moffat) as the footman and you know what throw a Rose cameo in there as well to play Evelyn to drive 10 to want to save her more which is why the plot twist is even more sinister when we discover that the Master was the one in charge all along!

I just had a way more fun turning this into a Doctor Who episode than I did reading it.
