Super interesting concept! I loved how each pov brought new insights and perspectives into the process of solving the murder mystery! I disliked the explanation for the magical time loop, and the reason it existed in the first place. I think it would have been more impactful if the main character had some kind of connection to the house/the people affected by the murder/murders. Anna's backstory ruined her character for me.

When I think about the author writing this book, I imagine him sitting in a room with every wall covered in maps, diagrams and post-it notes, and with red thread running from one side to another!! You definitely need to concentrate on this book and your brain may frequently come to a sudden stop as it tries to puzzle out the numerous identities, clues and timelines. Despite that the book is incredibly readable and I did race through it.
I think that the concept was inspired and original - I can honestly say that I haven’t read a Groundhog Day inspired murder mystery where the protagonist has 8 days to solve a murder by awakening each day inside someone else’s body. This was possibly a work of genius just to keep a strong clasp on each of the puzzle pieces. The weakest part for me was actually the ending - I could get behind the reveal of the murderer, but I almost would have preferred that there was no reveal of the time-loop.
Overall though it was really enjoyable, and I look forward to reading the Devil in the Dark Water.
