Soooooo fun. So fun! (Thanks, Nicole!)

I was rushing to keep up through the very end, but in a way that made me feel like I was hot on the heels of the plot. The setting was vivid, the prose was strong (and, at times, surprising -- ideal), and the structure of the time loop was just murky enough for me to look past the physics of it all.

This book a   c   c  e  l  l e r ated, and I do think the ending could have taken its time a bit more... but maybe I'm just still catching up.  Embedded was an interesting (albeit undeveloped, for me) philosophical discussion of identity and redemption (and, like, optimism?) related to what Blackheath is and how Aiden and Anna came to be there. The conclusion left open the possibility of a sequel, which I don't anticipate but would totally read, even though it would be drastically different in genre.

A delightful and unexpected mix of Agatha Christie + Groundhog Day (or, honestly, more like Palm Springs) + The Good Place + [your favorite 20th century British drama here]

I.... Just don't care. And I'm not hooked by the writing style. I've got too many other books I actually think I'll like.

Plus, I looked up the twist and was still not interested enough to continue.

Wow, just wow. This was a mind-bending experience. A murder mystery like no other, where every day is the same... but different. It's a race against time to solve the whodunit, and I was along for the ride alongside Aiden.

What I loved most:
1. The intricate plot twists!
2. Living through different perspectives
3. Aiden Bishop

Stuart Turton crafted a narrative that kept me guessing, and just when I thought I had things figured out... BAM! Another curveball.

If you're in for a mind-twirling, page-turning, can't-put-it-down sort of read, this is your pick.

THE RULES OF BLACKHEATH: Evelyn Hardcastle will be murdered at 11:00 pm. There are eight days, and eight witnesses for you to inhabit. We will only let you escape once you tell us the name of the killer. Understood? Then let's begin... Evelyn Hardcastle will die. Every day until Aiden Bishop can identify her killer and break the cycle. But every time the day begins again, Aiden wakes up in the body of a different guest. And some of his hosts are more helpful than others...

Full of shocks and surprise. I felt indifferent to this book, did not love it or hate it. Just okay, would not really recommend the book to anyone.

Read for a book club and to be honest, I liked this better than expected. It felt like a fresh idea with the premise of solving the murder and it was fun (albeit confusing at times) to inhabit the different bodies to try and piece together the evidence. It felt a little long at times,
and the twist at the end felt a little reminiscent of the Good Place,
but overall I was satisfied with the conclusion and had fun getting there.
