I should have read this a few relationships ago. Certainly solidifies the last couple decisions I made. I enjoy Steve's books. He sprinkles in humor and personal experience, and truly tells it like it is.

a touch misogynistic for me, but considering the basis of this book is centered on men’s views and values on women…well obviously i’m not surprised. certainly less sexist than ‘why men love bitches’ so i’ll take it.
What a bunch of condescending crap. Seriously?!?! I can't take out the garbage because that will make my husband feel like less of a man?!?!?! And because I didn't take his name when we married I'm not really committed?!?!? What a waste of paper. This book is best used as toilet paper!
Very informative!!!!! Kind of already knew in the back of my mind. But it was nice to hear it from a male point of view!!!!
I only read this because of the movie (which I thought was fun) but this is so dumb.
I gave it 2 stars because he made some valid points. But a lot of this is just not it chilleeee

ready read. it was recommended to me, but honestly half the time I was just angry. there are some good quotes, but That's it. think only reaches out to a certain population
Although this book is readable and I understand it's definitely generalizing, I found the last sections to be quite sexist. And maybe the majority of men really do think like this. It shouldn't be surprising. But reading about it like it's ok and we women should expect to please our men by working all day then cooking and making sure the house is clean before donning our lingerie every night? Ugh. I appreciate your efforts to explain the male mind, Mr. Harvey, but I don't like what you're projecting as the best way to "act like a lady." Apparently I just don't want to "think like a man."
I find Steve Hardy as a comedian exceptionally talented and entertaining. His writing style leaves a little to be desired but since it is a self-help book for lonely women, I guess he's over-simplication can be forgiven. Some of his insights are unoriginal and others are or should be based on common sense. Still, an entertaining fullfy read.
