Not to sure what to say about this book. It started off pretty creepy within the first page and a half but from there to half way through it just dragged. For most of it I couldn't really tell what kind of story I was reading. Horror? Supernatural? Thriller? Mystery? The author did a great job developing some of the characters and describing a run down Detroit setting but I was a little bothered by learning who the killer was at the beginning of the book. Would have been a nice twist if she had set it up a little better and revealed who it was at the end. The last half of the book really picked up and I just couldn't put it down. Wish that pace would have been there for the whole thing. All in all it was a decent read but not something I would add to my top 25 list. Pretty good if you're looking for a quick read over a holiday weekend.

Just not really vibing with it. I think it has an interesting premise, but I kept finding myself zoning out. It didn't hold my attention.

Why did I wait so long to read this? Gruesome, creepy, and fantastic.

Very well written. Interesting concept. Personally, I wished it focused less on the character of Layla and more on the others.

Someone said this book was like 'Stranger Things'. It was not.
