I met Tom at the Brooklyn Book Festival. I didn't realize that he was the creator of the little booklet of graphic shorts I picked up, which I only had to leaf through to know that I wanted to read; the drawing style is very appealing to me, bursting with detail and finesse presented in clean, sharp lines (even when the intention is to blur). I thoroughly enjoyed Ransom Strange and World 2.0, and the one-pagers were stunning. The sense of humor in all of the stories is an essential part of what I enjoyed. The story of the Bibliophile was perhaps the one that hit closer to home for me, for obvious reasons... I had to look up what Mamba was, and now the disgusting nature of the last story is clear (combination of cheetos and fruit chews... yuck!)

Recommended for those who like zines and printed books.
