It's a script and shooting diary; I came for the lesson on writing but stayed for the bone-dry wit and the candid bouts of anxiety and panic that should be familiar to anyone who has ever made anything. Bonus: I love a fart joke, and Emma Thompson is oddly obsessed with bowels, hers and others. Icing on the cake, that.

Utter perfection.

The screenplay...which immediately transported me back to the world of S&S, the gorgeous stills, and the cherry on top - Emma's diary from the production of the film...which immediately transported me back to the mid-90's. Pre-social media, the worst the actors had to deal with back then were the English weather and Rupert Murdoch. (Though poor Kate Winslet didn't exactly have a great luck health-wise!)

"Tide goes in, tide goes out, tide goes in, tide goes out - and still no sex."

"The acting in England is much better than the food."

Poor Ang Lee.

It's as good as you hope it is and then some because it's Sense & Sensibility and Emma Thompson

Really enjoyable view when combined with Emma Thompson's filming diaries. Good humour throughout.
