I'd never heard of Nana Malone, and I grabbed this book for free from Amazon. When I finally opened it to give it a go, I didn't put it down for a few hours - and that was only to feed the kids and to walk the dog - after that, I was straight back to it.

Firstly, I really enjoyed the dynamics of the adoptive and foster family. I haven't read many books in that vein that deal with it in this kind of way.

Secondly, the characters were top notch. Delilah Donovan is a woman striving to be the best she can possibly be, professionally, yet her own personal life is neglected. As a 'fixer' she must be available to her clients pretty much 24/7, which leaves her little time to herself. She's aiming for promotion within the company as she knows she's damn good at her job, then Nate walks into the office.

Nate Williams, a blast from the past - one she'd never expected to see again. He was her first love when her parents took him into their home, for him to disappear without a word and trace - is her new client. yeah, like that isn't going to cause issues at all . . .

I have to admit, it wasn't until I added the book to my shelves over on Goodreads that I realised this book was about an interacial couple. I only mention it simply because it was never made an issue by Malone as she concentrated on the story rather than bring any kind of politics into her writing. I applaud this and with the Donovan family having 12 siblings, I can't wait to read more about them. In fact, I want them to adopt me too.

The story is a good pace and isn't saturated with unnecessary sex scenes that do absolutely nothing to enhance the story. In fact these scenes are essential to the story as they allow Nate and Delilah rediscover each other, and what starts as hesitant and nervous as Delilah tries to remain professional soon becomes steamy and sensual, perfect for these characters.

The story and characters are believeable and relateable, and if Malone's other books are this well written, I may have just found a new author to stalk - er, I mean enjoy!

This story was just too repetitive for me. Their problems were solved too easily and the story it's self was just very anticlimactic.

Come Home Again is the first book in the Donovan series. It’s the story of Delilah and Nate. This story capitulated me from the first page. Delilah is such a strong character and I loved how she was written. I fell in love with Nate as soon as he was introduced. Learning about their past and going through their journey of what is happening not is riveting and I couldn’t put my kindle down until I finished. Their chemistry is off the charts. The subplot in the story also kept my attention and I hope we learn more about Nate’s friends and I can’t wait to read more about the Donovan family.

Delilah thought she'd never see Nate again, let alone him walk in to a meeting she was having with a new client. There he was in the flesh and he looked good. He had left her family seven years ago and she had always wondered and worried about what had happened to him.

Nate didn't expect to see Delilah at the meeting he was having with Chase and the fixers. Nate was just there to be CEO while Chase was away and that was it. Having Delilah there though was a unexpected plus. She hadn't been far from his thoughts while he had been gone. She was the reason he left, he had to keep her and the family that took him in safe and his leaving was the only thing that was going to ensure that.

Now that they are back in the same space its difficult for him to deny his attraction to her, and for her to deny that she still loves him the way she did then.

I enjoyed watching Delilah fight her feelings but not have the strength to stay away from him. It was refreshing to see a man go after what he wanted and not be afraid to do so. He wanted her and he had his second chance to do so. Easy and fun read that I'm sure you will enjoy as well!!

Hands down my favorite Nana Malone book. I really enjoyed this second chance romance.
Delilah was a heroine who had deep empathy because she had awesome parents. She bas a really good upbringing so I can see why her teen heart bled for young Nate!

Nate’s backstory made me like him even more because he had been through so much and decided he didn’t want his past to impact his new family. He made a painful decision but now is ready to win back the girl he left behind.

What made this story stand out was that the author took her time to build the characters and re-established their bond when they reunited. I felt this was her most developed plot and characters or at least the ones I connected with. The love story was sweet and Nate reconciling his past with his foster parents was the most touching aspect for me.

Loved this one

Come Home Again is a sweet second chance romance. Nate thankfully is a likeable hero. He is not arrogant or OTT confident. He is reserved, patience and knows when to grovel.

The story/ plot is interesting. I like the writing style. The flow of the story is good and consistence. Enough to make me onterested.
Since this is my first read from Miss Malone, I have to say, I am quite excited to look for her next book.

The chemistry is nicely done. Not OTT push and pull but hot enough to ship these two to HEA.

Overall a very good book.

Delilah Donovan is like many young professional women. She's struggling to get the recognition and respect that she has worked so hard for professionally but has allowed all of her personal needs to fall by the wayside. It doesn't help that the one man that she fell in love with as a teenager still holds a large part of her heart that she isn't able to turn over to anyone else. At the moment Delilah's life is at it's bussiest a specter from her past walks in and turns her world upside down.

Nate is just as shocked as Delilah when the person hired to curate and manage his public image is the the girl he fell in love with grown into a beautiful and confident woman. Nate has used all of his technical abilities to bury his past and create a new person that doesn't appear to carry the baggage of an abused and traumatized childhood. Even after being rescued by Delilah's family, Nate could never feel worthy enough of the wonderful family that was gifted to him. Now, Nate's decision to run instead of staying and trusting in the love and support of his new family, is coming back for him to face. Nate has made a lot of wrong choices trying to do the right thing for the people he cares about. Now he has to decide if he can take the risk of being honest and asking for the help and support that he felt that he never had even when it was right there for him to take.

COME HOME AGAIN is yet another thoroughly enjoyable interracial romance by Nana Malone. The story moves at a very steady pace, the circumstances and character behaviors all make sense, and the attraction and level of steaminess between Nate and Delilah are nicely done. The ending wraps up nicely and completely. With twelve Donovan siblings I am looking forward to enjoying many more books in this series. I listened to the audio version of this one and the narrator, Eva Christensen, did a great job of drawing me in. Her performance in creating different voices for the characters was very enjoyable. I look forward to listening to the next in THE DONOVANS series LOVE REALITY soon. If you are looking for interracial romances that are sensual but not erotic I highly recommend trying a Nana Malone book. She knows how to give good steam without veering into raunchy along with providing an enjoyable story. This one will be added to my favorite reads list!

Fixer Upper

I didn't expect this emotional story. But once again, Nana Malone surprised me. This is not just a story about two people who are reunited, it's about facing your fears and demons, and relying on family to have your back. Nate and Delilah are fire and I loved their moments together. I look forward to reading about the rest of Donovan clan.
