So it was a good read as a side book to the heavier main book I'm reading that requires more thought and attention. All of the characters and the story were interesting and developed enough that it held my attention but the plot and the mystery around who the killer was was still interesting but light enough to read as a side book. There wasn't a whole lot of intricacy involved with the plot or the characters or the backstories but again it was done well enough and developed enough that it was still enjoyable and you can tell it was well thought out and planned. Some character traits of the main female character were slightly annoying but because I went into this with a lighter expectation I didn't really let it bother me too much. I'll be reading the next book in the series.

Mostly, I’m just not in the mood for the book. I want more urban fantasy romance, preferably stand alone, but this feels more political than I want.

“You’re mine,” he claimed raggedly, his chest heaving as he cupped her cheeks, his thumb running lazily over her bottom lip. “I claim you. I claim you under the moon and stars; I claim you under the night sky.”

3,5 stars - It wasn't bad but a little boring at times.

This was a fun book, but I wasn't into the insta love of this book.
The book starts with the MC being in love with dude nr 1 but then dude nr 2 shows up and BAM love :( ..
The world is interesting but I wont be reading book nr 2.

An enjoyable read

Can't wait to start on the next book!! Finished this in one day. The world building in this story was ok it could use a little more about the layout of it.

2.5 Stars. There was some good in here, Mera's backstory could prove to be interesting, and when she wasn't being too 'sireny' she was quite an okay lead. But the detective plot was cleaned up way too quick and Mera's semi immediate forgiveness of Dhay seemed, weird, and he seemed manipulative and it made me feel a bit bleh. Really not sure about this story...
