The second part of the mage exams! Fun dungeon raid goodness here, and it was refreshing to see mages come together for a very unique challenge to solve. After that, the final exam surprises everyone, and concludes in the next volume.

This mage arc exam isn't my favorite. I feel like the overly explaining things during the arc can be a bit tiresome. It doesn't feel as natural as the rest of the manga. Luckily when it's not doing that, it's really good with some hilarious parts of Frieren keep getting stuck in the Mimics. Overall this arc was the weakest for me so far.

I am trying to read through the manga, all be it a bit out of order. But I loved the anime so I am happy to find out how faithful of an adaptation the show is to the manga. Which means that, as one of my favorite anime, this falls into favorite manga category.

I can't wait to continue to read and find out what happens after the mage test.
