The cover of this book misleadingly makes it look like a cute, innocent, lighthearted romance. The characters and their relationships, however, are certainly not ‘innocent’. Most of the book is more about lust than love, which I personally didn’t want to read.

I liked this more than I expected to. I feel like I’ve had mixed luck/feelings on sports romances but I felt like this was done really well, though there is a lot of spice.

It was hard to watch her give Aaron, who was controlling and abusive, so many chances but it’s a serious issue and I appreciated the complications of a non-romantic partnership. I also appreciated the therapy. I felt like we got to know a number of the friends. It was nice to see both mental and physical disabilities portrayed in this book.
