Important work talking about labor movements for lots of occupations often tied to "do what you love" mantras, but told in the most boring way possible. This read like one long journalism piece, and in places drew weird conclusions from historical information.

Find love, friendship and solidarity at your local Union. Don't have one, ask why, most likely those who own your work have worked smartly to ensure it is thus.

The introductory chapter was enough to make me really mad and not teach me anything I didn't already know. I decided I didn't need to be mad for several hours at a stretch as I read it. However, that first chapter was enough to figure out that this book would be an excellent resource if I was looking for references or needed to make a well-researched argument about the benefits of the labor movement.
