It was good! I think it dragged on for way too long and it felt like a chore to finish it, but the storyline was nice! I really, really loved the ending, though I wish we could've seen more of a make-up story with Kenna, Grace, and Patrick.

*edit*
now that I'm thinking abt it, i really am not a fan. idk it was bleh. whenever someone talks about it i cringe

would most likely reread it, but not definitely ☑️

“Grudges are heavy, but for people hurting the most, I suppose forgiveness is even heavier.”

There goes my heart again, ripped out and then put back together by a Colleen Hoover book. I read this book in a little more than 24 hours. I could not put it down. The story, the characters, the writing. The subtle hopefulness that there will be redemption for our main character Kenna was so strong. I love how she wrote the main character’s Kenna and Ledger. Although I do question the first name choice, unless it’s a nod to Heath Ledger 😏

Kenna’s story tugged at my heart strings. The emotions she felt were raw and real, and I felt like there are probably a lot of people out there like Kenna. Struggling to find their place in the world, and haunted by their past. I also felt the deep love that a parent has for their child. As a mother now myself I really understand that completely unconditional love a parent has for their child.

For me this will be one of my favorite CoHo books.

The main character is so easy to relate to and proves how that one mess up can actually impact your whole life. The way she feels so consumed by emotion that she can’t show any is very relatable and the way she overcomes that is inspiring. I loved it and couldn’t put it down! I teared up several times but overall a very easy and quick read.
