This is a fast burn, light-hearted alien romance. It's a slice of life story that's similar to the style of the Risdaverse series where the alien male falls for and helps a human woman working a farm.

Aithar is the sweetest cinnamon roll, and I am happy he finally gets his HEA in this one. Michaela has a problem with controlling everything, and Aithar helps her overcome her anxiety and need for control.

I'm curious to find out more about her sister in a future book.

Aithar was such the golden retriever boy, complete with “I’m happy with any attention and will love you immediately”. Michaela was closed off and traumatized, very much a loner. The friends with benefits relationship was interesting, especially the way they went about it to help her feel safe and give her control. I wish more of Michaela’s walls coming down was on page, but it was still sweet.

I’ve been in the trenches with Dramione fan fiction so this was a nice little break back to more traditional story telling. I love me a man that worships his woman and I love it set in ruby’s universe even more.
