Aithar x Michaela. I love myself a good “unwanted mmc” trope and Aithar was just such a loveable and sweet guy. In the beginning, he was moping around about how nobody wants him and how everyone around him seems to be paired up. Aithar is quick to love tho, and soon falls head over heels for “dairy maid” Michaela.
I really enjoyed the first half of the story, but the later half was dragging a bit for me. The focus was more on butter making and Michaela’s control freak issues. Aithar helped Michaela realize that it’s okay not to always be in control and to let go sometimes. I do think its impressive how Ruby always manages to include characters with all kinds of baggage. It humanizes them and adds an extra layer to the story. I’m so happy that Aithar found love! He deserves all the affection in the world.

The Sunrise cantina series must not be for me. This one is better than the last one to me and there were some parts I enjoyed, like the milker. Although I wished they used it other places 🐮🥛 (if you catch my drift) I did like seeing an in charge woman that different for Ruby. Not my fav but a great change for Ruby
