I understand that we are meant to suspend disbelief to some extent when reading, but this was a bit of a stretch. There were some plot holes without a doubt.
Female characters written by men almost never feel right to me and this was no exception. I also hate the “redemption” of the villain at the very end.
With all this said, I finished it and it wasn’t a chore.

Kept me guessing. Every time I thought I knew what was happening, there would be a twist I didn’t see coming
Two stories are happening. Amanda and Wendy meet at a grief group. They both have lost children to violent murders. They become close friends and decide to swap murders of the men who killed their children. Elsewhere, Ruth is attacked by a blue eyed guy and barely survives. Farrow and Hernandez just so happen to be the detectives on both cases.
This was a complete whirlwind of a book. I knew something was going on with the stories and they somehow would intertwine. However, it wasn’t until around 70% into the book that things started to become more clear. This was a quick and enjoyable, thriller, and I really enjoyed that it wasn’t glaring What the twist was going to be. However, the ending sort of had me messed up.
