Don’t get me wrong the first book in the series was good. Good enough that I wanted to read the second in the series. Sadly I felt a little disappointed.
This book was written well. As always Lucy Score made it an easy read. I enjoyed the banter the main characters had, enjoyed the vulnerability they showed. There was more action scenes, the romance felt secondary to them.
What didn’t work for me, the book seemed extremely long for a contemporary romance. As I mentioned before I enjoyed it but it did seem a bit long at times.
The first book in the series left a better imprint on me than the second.
Overall a good book, would recommend.

Ok, in between sweet, but sometimes about too much and not everything is solved

Thoughts
This was a fine book. I really enjoyed seeing the couple from the first book and I really liked that we got more of a resolution of the story line in the first book. This book was a little on the long side. I listened to the audiobook and at around 25% I was starting to feel like nothing was going to happen in the romance. I did end up liking how every thing went down and I appreciated how the stuck with each other when they really needed to be shown support but man oh man was this long. I am definitely still reading book three, i need to know what happens between Lucian and Sloan.
