The Chaos Curse is a great fit for readers who enjoy adventurous stories that weave together elements from various mythologies, taking them on a journey through portals to discover different realms.

At first I was a bit confused by the mixing of stories, but I love the way it all came together. This was a great end (?) to the trilogy.

And that other book I mentioned when I finished the second one, it's a prequel!!!

I think this is my favourite of the series. Kiranmala is starting to get a little self-aware, which is good, and I love the ending! Can't wait to start the next series!

This is a fun romp that not only continues to evoke Bengali mythology and general cosmology, but also pulls in some mythologies and favorite stories/movies (Princess Bride, Harry Potter, Pooh, etc.) from western traditions, while making some worthwhile points.

I really liked this book better than the first two. It had such an interesting premise.

This book was probably my favorite out of the entire series! All of the amazing characters from the previous books were used really well, and I loved the incorporation of Greek and Norse mythology, as well as some of my favorite stories, such as His Dark Materials, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter alongside the usual Bengali tales. Though I am sad to see this series end, this was probably the best way to do it. I'm sure I'll be rereading this trilogy soon!

And with that, the story of Kiranmala and the Kingdom Beyond ends. "The Chaos Curse" was chaos with a lot of story and explanation, but I didn't feel like DasGupta went into it in a way that suits me personally. She had so much she wanted to share and wrap up in the last book that it got messy.

HOWEVER, she did an excellent job with this book and everything I learned from her 2 previous ones tied together with this one, which is absolutely superb (we love when an author gives flashbacks or includes stuff from prior books), and I genuinely had a blast with "The Chaos Curse"

So first of all how are these covers so good? I love the style, the colors, and how they always have the moon in the background.

I was annoyed quite a bit by the characters early on in the book. For example when Kiran kind of gets a crush on Ned early on when he’s a big jerk. He literally tells her not to worry her pretty little head about it. Kiran annoyed me quite a lot when she was also kind of being bossy to Mati, and she decided to do the Trojan Horse plan and not tell Mati and somehow though people wouldn’t know the story? She was really bossy and acted like she knew best early on in the book. And then she keeps telling Neel, to his face, that she thinks his mom is evil. She gets mad when she thinks people are being biased against rakkhosh or something. But she definitely is, like in the beginning when all the rakkhosh she just saved are coming out of the water and she’s saying it’s an attack just because their rakkhosh. So I found her to be very frustrating. Thankfully her character did grow up and mature a bit more by the end which I really appreciate. Although Tuni still drove me insane. EVERY SINGLE TIME that he spoke. Tuni did not get better.

The plot was interesting, however and I did enjoy figuring out what the other stories were that were mentioned. So basically my main complaints for this one are the characters.
