The FMC was great, loved her! The MMC was upgraded from the last guy. He had quirks, and I appreciated the personality. The sex was better in this one, and the conflict didn't feel forced, even though the conclusion was, somewhat.

The issues I had with the last book were touched on a bit in this one, but not with the gravity I feel like earthlings coming from America would take. They're dumped on a planet where the race treat their women like brood mares, and if they dare have feelings/emotions/opinions, then they are shamed and outcast. The argument being "Oh the poor guys who would love to be a husband don't get a chance." Tell me in fewer words that y'all feel entitled to all females uterus. Girls, i know the guys are hot, but be a bit more disgusted and less "OH WELL, IT'S A NEW CULTURE." Like, literally none of the women can even smile without some dude taking that as a "I have a cave to hide your bone in." I guess the upside is that they aren't locked away, or live in fear of the other sex. They just have to pass themselves around like a hot potato.

I'm going to read the next book bc I'm curious about the pirate/space. If it's shit, I'm putting this series on hiatus.

Wilson mvp
