I really loved this story! I normally hate miscommunication tropes but this one made sense since they’re from different planets, the cultures and customs are going to be different.

I liked seeing Auzed’s thought process, he wasn’t trying to be cold he was just trying so hard to do what was expected.

I liked seeing Alejandra struggle to do what she thought she should be doing and floundering to come to the conclusion she ultimately did. I felt like it was very real because it’s going to be hard to just leave a whole life behind even if it wasn’t that great of a life, it was still hers.

All the chemistry and sweet moments were great and I loved Wilson too! Can I have a sweet alien pet too??

Looking forward to the next book in the series!

I can't stop with this series. I throw it in between my other books on my substantial TBR as a guilty pleasure and I love it. Auzed is a grumpy alien soldier who rescues Alejandra (Alex) from the wilderness. Alex is fun and loves movies so much that her dialogue is always peppered with movie quotes. It was fun trying to figure out what she was referring to. There is a fake engagement to keep them safe from another alien race. There are political moves, jealousy, some kind of engagement Olympics, people with tails, and a monkey with an elephant nose. The monkey, Wilson Philips, is adorable. I'm a sucker for animals as friends or sidekicks in any book. You earn stars for that in my book.

Clecania, you sound like such a lovely planet. I want to try the pink bread, get an elephant monkey sidekick, have universal healthcare, and not have to worry about getting old and being hairy.

This series is FIRE!! The angst in this one was incredible!! An “ily but” book and I love how unpredictable the timing of the mate marks are, adds so much spice to the series you never feel safe!! Also a third act breakup?? In MY fated mates series? Lowkey a breath of fresh air I was suffering and enjoying the suffering!!!

A little disappointed in this one as far as the instalove/instalust, and the conflict and resolution - both of which seemed very contrived, but I still love the series and want to keep going because I need Fejo's story!
