This story was interesting. Alex, being one of the females that fled the site of the off-worlders being liberated from an underground facility, is a yapper as sen from the previous book. From being separated from Lily she winds up in another country’s land being hunted by some ferocious monster. Auzed being a temple soldier was sent to retrieve the missing human females and came across Alex. As a result of being on a different country’s land they are whisked away due to the lands laws regarding citizenship and the killing of the beast.

The beginning sort of threw me. Not gonna lie, Alex kinda annoyed me in the beginning. The impulsive kiss Alex kind of forced upon Auzed seemed a little forced. I don’t know it just seemed so out of place at first.

These two main leads have very different personalities. Auzed being a rigid, strict, rule abiding individual while Alex is someone who goes with the flow more. She lied to the higher up of this other land and got them into a mess… it was kind of funny in retrospect.

Their romance was interesting. Auzed’s character development was particularly enjoyable. He was confronted with having to come to terms with accepting and no longer suppressing his more primal instincts from his mom’s side. I liked how he had reevaluate what was really important to him after so much was taken from him.

It was cute very enjoyable. The scene of them getting steamy on this terrace above the treetops was delicious and so sweet. Def recommend!!

I freaking love this series! This book was almost as good as the first one. I just loved the stakes and the angst and the dynamics in this story so much. I loved how it was different and still held all my favorite things from the other books. Wow so much love.

This book is incredibly sweet. I just read it but it made me so happy and swoony last time I could resist. This series brings me so much joy.

3.5 stars. Cute,though a little more immature than the others. I loved the little monkey? Raccoon? Whatever her little pet was. It was also fun going to a different area of their world. I would love a treehouse.
