This one was okay... The narration wasn't as good as the others were and I hated that the old main characters are barely in it - but it's still and all right book with different characters and a unique charm, just not as interesting for the kids as the others are in this collection.

what can i say? this book has left me questioning my life… it is full of adventure, traveling, and the beautiful journey that is life. moominpapa describes his life while capturing inspiring philosophies and questions, yet in a very simplistic and understandable way. the book is also funny at times, as well as dark. it is truly inspiring and one of a kind. reading this was an adventure in itself, and i am glad to have lived through it.

Tää on niin ihana, mutta jälleen kerran hankala arvioida ku luen aina yhen luvun parin kuukauden välein. Tää myös sai heräämään paljon kysymyksiä siitä, miks Nipsu ja Nuuskamuikkunen ei tunne vanhempiaan ja onko Myy tosiaan vanhempi ku Nuuskamuikkunen tai kukaan noista lapsihahmoista.
Pidin "muumipapan" kirjoittamista muistelmista paljon. Kirjan lukemisen teki hauskaksi jo pelkästään kirjan rakenne ja tyyli, puhumattakaan itse tarinasta.
Kirjana muumipapan nuoruus oli huomattavasti mielenkiintoisempi kuin kirjasta tehty animaatio, joka ainakaan itseäni ei ole koskaan niin sytyttänyt. Ja kyllähän tuo animaatio kirjasta aika roimasti eroaakin.
Neljä tähteä olisi viisi, jos kirjassa olisi ollut hippusen enemmän sitä kuuluisaa muumien filosofiaa. Hauskahan kirja oli!
