Set in regency England, this story captivated me from beginning to end. The best way I can describe this book is like a warm hug. It left me feeling so cozy, warm and fulfilled. I loved our main characters and seeing how they changed and grew with each other.

If you need a comfort book, I recommend this. Honestly? Even if you don’t need a comfort book, I still recommend this. My only complaint is that it wasn’t longer!

For a book with a main character with half a soul and therefore muted emotions..... I sure did have a lot of feels reading it! (But in a very good way!)

This was very much a comfort fantasy (a touch historical) romance. It was everything I could want in a story that's giving fairytale, but also very real/mature.
I quite agree with the quote on the front: "whimsical but never frivolous, sweet but not sugary. I loved it."
