Ok so I usually avoid trilogies with a passion. I can't say why I have a dislike for them I just do. This series is different though. The books are quite short but Ms. Lyon does a great story.

The grand finale of the series and it was the best out of the three. Both Kat and Sloane face their demons.

Ethan has a heart attack because he has taken steroids that don't show up in the drug tests. They recognise the culprit behind the scandal and realise that it has to so with Kat's mugging. They find the missing link which and David the Dickhead goes crazy. Kat's parents finally believe her and they slowly work on their relationship.

Sloane is having second thoughts about the fight with Lee Foster who killed his twin sister but in the end and Kat did the right thing that it is his choice to make no one else's.
Won't give the ending away what happens between Foster and Sloane but it's a close call.
God the saddest part was with Drake had me balling my fucking lights out.
The Epilogue was touching and the whole cake naming thing was touching.

BUT

My happy ending would have been......

Sloane got on his steed and rode off with Kat into the sunset. They had two children who were named Drake and Sara bla bla bla and so on. Go cheesy I know but I don't care one bit.

The conclusion of the Plus One Chronicles Trilogy, takes off right where the last one left off and then proceeded to throw my emotions around like a wild roller coaster ride. Ms. Lyon up to this point made me fall so in love with Sloan and Kat, and the secondary characters and then she had messy life step in and wreak havoc, by the end I was in tears, with a few moments where my heart stopped wondering how things would turn out.

I’ve followed Kat and Sloan since the beginning and watched them fall in love from something casual to something that could overcome anything and everything thrown their way. Ms. Lyon wrapped up all of the loose ends and while I’m still not a fan of cliffhangers, I would easily and happily recommend this trilogy as a beautiful love story that is emotionally charged and so well written that I was immersed in Kat and Sloan’s life.

I can’t recommend this book enough, but I definitely say it’s not one to be read as a stand alone, but I can vouch for the whole trilogy and with them all being available, a great way to spend the day.

Usually, the third book in a series isn't as good as the ones before it, but this one might be my favorite. I have loved seeing how Kat has evolved with the help and love from Sloane and how she changed him as well. I love how he told her that there would be no apologies and no holding back from each other. I loved how this story was more realistic than other romance novels I have read in the past. I loved this series.

Putting same review on all 3 parts of trilogy as I own it in a boxed set.

Wanted to say first that I LOVED the supporting characters! Kellan and Drake were amazing and hope we read more about Ana.

Favorite notes:

Drake leaned slightly to make a face at Sloane, "Hear her? The popsicles are mine." "What are you five?" Sloane stuck the promised treats in the freezer. "I'm the man who can kick your ass if you touch my popsicles."

"Oh shut up. Do you hear yourself? Did that accident unleash your inner martyr? Cuz she is seriously unattractive. Kill that bitch off and bring back my prickly Kit Kat."

"Broke his nose, according to Sloane. He said, and I quote, 'it was fucking beautiful,'" A stupid-ass grin surprised her. "What a poet."

"Men refuse to acknowledge Dirty Dancing because of the lift. Most men can't do a controlled lift of a woman over their head. They're threatened by it."

Ends at 99% on my Kindle. Approx 6219 locations on 3 part box set.

The Premise
Obsession is the final book of a three book series (must be read in order, not designed to standalone). At the end of the second book, Sloane and Kat were at a crossroads, and Sloane had to decide whether to continue on his path for vengeance and possibly lose the woman he loves or allow the man who killed his sister to go free. Kat also begins to remember more of her horrific attack, which puts her life in danger.

The Good
I genuinely liked both the hero and the heroine and understood them throughout each book, a true rarity these days. They had concerns and doubts about going into a real relationship, but it wasn’t contrived and it made sense throughout the series. There was no drastic personality change to justify any plot point. It was refreshing to enjoy a series as much as I enjoyed this one. I liked the supporting characters, especially Drake - his relationship with Sloane is touching and his illness gave a bittersweet tinge to this final book, but in a good way.

The Minor Quibble
Truly the only complaint I have is that I think this would have been an excellent single volume book with some minor tweaks.

The Bottom Line
A great series that I am very happy I read - it left me with a big smile on my face.
