Es hätte stilistisch ein besseres Lektorat zur Entfernung von ein paar abgenutzten Wendungen verdient gehabt, aber inhaltlich fand ich alles interessant, in der zweiten Hälfte noch mehr als in der ersten.

Was für ein wunderbares Buch.
Der Autor erzählt sehr persönlich seine Geschichte.
Ich musste bei diesem Buch lachen, weinen; ich habe mitgefiebert; ich hatte mit ihm Liebeskummer und habe mich mit ihm gefreut.
Eine bezaubernde und eindrucksvolle Lektüre.
Wünsche diesem Buch ganz ganz viele Leser*innen. ♥

A poignant memoir of a trans man living in Germany who experiences a difference in social treatment after more consistently passing. I highly enjoyed the bold discussions about gender roles and the different experiences being viewed in certain ways in society, be it as a certain sex or nationality or even age. There is a lot of anxiety in this book, but also tenderness, passion, poise, and joy. I highly enjoyed this book even if a few paragraphs were a bit too disjointed.
