Now that I’ve finished this series, I’d say overall plot was mediocre but romance was phenomenal. I think most of us reading these books are here for the romance any how. I loved seeing the slow burn harem romance develop over the four books. This one over did the “I love you” haha but other than that the romantic arcs were super fun. The plot felt like an awkward meandering and like the author just figured it out as she went. The stalker & hired hit all were just meh to me (outside the action of tension - those were great, the reveals of who and why was the meh). I do get annoyed at the “cliffhangers” as it feels like a cheap way to force readers to pick up the next book and isn’t always necessary, but alas it works.  I enjoyed the romance enough, I’d pick up more by this author anytime I’m craving a smutty read for sure.

Oh, boy. This series started out so good. Those first two books were great, and things headed downhill from there. Things probably should have wrapped up in book 3. I had to skim through this one at times because it was kind of boring. I liked how the book opened and the dress shop, but it lost me after that. There were a ton of sex scenes that didn't add to the story. I ended up liking Steele and Kody less and less. I just wanted MK with Archer because they truly had chemistry. The reveals were out there in a not a great way. It all just felt unnatural and not how I would have envisioned everything going. I don't know what else to say. The 500+ pages felt long.

This book was soo fn long for how the series was wrapped but I didn’t mind too much because you really fly through each book in the series!

I hate to say it but I’m still not a fan of MK as a character. I thought by the end of the series I would warm up to her but sadly that’s not the case. She was a little too immature in my opinion for these men to be lusting over her.

Even though MK wasn’t my favorite, Miss Tate knows how to write a story & keep you on the edge of your seat. Especially those cliff hangers at the end of each book?!?! Even at the end of this one?!? SHEESH.

Miss Tate leaves you utterly gobsmacked so make sure you have the next book ready to go friends.

Ultimately this series is great to binge with an underlying mystery plot, tons of spicy hotness, and what is sure to be your newest addiction. 😏😮‍💨

A dynamic and explosive ending from one series and a good introduction to the next. Tate James is definitely a new auto-buy author for me!
