A fun, worthwhile sequel to One of Us is Lying. It took me a while to get used to the plethora of new characters. Each main character had their own set of family and friends involved with a lot of crossover. I think this just makes the characters even more fleshed out though, which makes it easier to identify with them. I still prefer the first book because of its "whodunit" aspect, but this book has a lot of enjoyable twists and turns as well.
fast-paced
It’s not really my style of book anymore and honestly I have other ones I’d rather read. I would consider coming back to it. It just didn’t hold my attention enough to want to continue while having so many other books I want to read.

4 stars!!!
I never thought I would love this book more than the first. It was really awesome and kinda MYSTERIOUS!!!
Idk why I didn't read this first, and why i was procrastinating for the while but it was really really Awesome. You never knew how the story will end until the very end page and then also you met with a cliffhanger end!! It's this book. It really ended on the cliff. I'm wondering what will happen next and thank goodness the next book is out. I can't imagine myself pulling hair of my head thinking about it. I'm going to read it. But before that let me tell you something..
1. Luis and Maeve are a good couple than Nate and Bronwyn.
2. Nate loves Bronwyn more than anything. (I literally screamed when I found Nate is wounded)
3. Cooper and Kris part of the story is not well explained but they are the second best couple in the book.
And the last thing the preparator is not the one we can imagine. He was just out of picture and suddenly he came and blowed up everything. The book started from Bayview high and ended with Until proven, how and why? I would love to read about Bayview high.
Nevermind, i love this book and it is my favourite book of Karen M. McManus.
[I also found there is also a TV series based on it?]

I was skeptical at first that I'd enjoy a teen mystery novel as much as I enjoyed "One of Us is Lying" but "One of Us is Next" was just as suspenseful and enjoyable. Lots of twists and turns and familiar characters who's relationships you're invested in. I couldn't get enough of this book and I was genuinely surprised by the ending.

It's been a while since I've read the first book in this series, but from what I remember, this one isn't quite as captivating as the first. I liked the idea of a truth or dare game, and it had some good twists. So it was entertaining, but not great.
