This is one of Modglin's earlier books that I hadn't gotten around to reading yet. I'm a huge fan of her work and I can really tell how much she has progressed in her newer works as compared to this one. Not saying this in a negative way, it's just amazing to see how much she has honed her craft! I love how twisty her work is and this book was full of twists and turns and shock after shock. This book was a quick read and I couldn't wait to find out what was happening. It was also a bit heartbreaking, but in a good way.
I listened to the audiobook as well as read along with the kindle edition. I enjoyed the reader of the audio and felt she did a great job!

I dont think ive read kiersten writing a teen main character before so that was fun, but the story itself was dumb as hell.
