A powerful and well written book about the horrors of war. There are some beautiful quotes that capture the idea themselves, that even those fighting do not necessarily see the other side as evil. The last three chapters are the best. Terrible, but the best.

Was forced to read this in high school. Definitely interesting read but definitely hated it all into one.
The BBC rendition didn’t catch my interest, despite being quite short.
