Beautiful, haunting, & devastating. This book provides a look at war in a way that is most often ignored. War is not painted as glamorous and heroic here. It is grim, and ugly, and relentless. War is death.

I finished this book while walking down the street in public and I couldn’t help but shed tears for Paul, his generation, and for every real human causality of war- past, present, & future.
