"When I grow up, will you grow down?" A little elephant calf asks his mama. As they go about their day, Little Gray tells his mama, "If you were my calf..." and how he would care for her, just as she cares for him. This is a peaceful book that would be a sweet bedtime read for mom and child.

Not perfect, but a nice story that I think the kids would enjoy at storytime.

When it comes to stories about mama elephants and their babies, I prefer "Meet Me at the Moon" but this wasn't bad. The font drove me a little cray, though.

As Mama and Little Gray spend a day together, Little Gray contemplates life with Mama after he grows up. "Mama," Little Gray asks, "When I grow up, will you grow down?" Simple and touching illustrations paired with the quiet conversation between a mother elephant and her calf makes this picture book a perfect gift for mothers with children of all ages.
