was really cute but idk i was kinda bored. but also i understand i am not the intended audience ! im sure if i was younger i would have really enjoyed it.

I first read this book in a course and I didn't really appreciate it, I think because I was reading so many books one after another. This time I was deeply smitten. Now I don't understand how I could have resisted the Nac Mac Feegles, tiny hard-drinking, tough-fighting little blue fairies with kilts, a heavy Scottish brogue, and an outrageous sense of humor: "Ye tak' the high road and I'll tak' yer wallet!" Their leader is Rob Anybody. (!) Also love the idea of a witch as a nosy, responsible person who refrains from using magic as much as possible so she won't end up "cackling" (i.e., evil).

Definitely felt like it was aimed for a younger audience than me.

I ADORE this book. Tiffany Aching and the Wee Free Men are fantastic characters, and I adore them.

Read it just for the Scottish accents if for no other reason. It was hysterically funny.
