I’ve had this sitting around for about 10 years and finally got to it and was delighted.

I can see why this author is so revered. I smiled or chuckled on almost every page and completely loved the flow of the language and dialog. I loved the play on words and what the witches meant in this world, not being villains or doing magic for themselves but rather protectors of people and dreams. I think I’ll have to read the rest of Tiffany’s adventures next time I’m in the mood for some happy fantasy.

Une lecture légère et agréable, avec quelques beaux moments de poésie. Plairait à toutes celles qui kiffent les sorcières et les rêves !

After years of reading his books, I have still no idea how Terry Pratchett could make his fantasy books so shockingly, magnificently real.

Just really delightful. If you like fairy stories with a dose of morality and talk of the countryside with plucky characters and whimsy bursting out of the seams, jump in! I think Pratchett and I would have had great conversations about how terrible fairies are.

> You could spend a day looking at a flower to see how wonderful it is, and that wouldn't get the milking done. No wonder we dream our way through our lives. To be awake, and see it all as it really is... no one could stand that for long

> "The thing about witchcraft," said Mistress Weatherwax, "is that it's not like school at all. First you get the test, and then afterward you spend years findin' out how you passed it. It's a bit like life in that respect."

My only complaint is that sometimes I truly couldn’t parse what the wee free men were saying. Perhaps it’s easier not in audiobook format. Other than that, it was a delightful romp of a book. Looking forward to the next in the series.
