This being a children's book, I had my doubts going in. I know I wasn't going to hate it (because of course it's a Pratchett book) , but I also thought I would not love it.
I mean how can a grown ass man in his 20s relate to a child so young? How could I sit through reading not only about the problems a child faces but that of a girl child ? That sounds bad but that is exactly how we read books right? We find characters we can relate to and revel in their successes and are saddened at their failures. Well Tiffany did that to me and I could not have been more wrong in my initial assumptions.
I wish I could explain why and how I love this book so much but words wouldn't do justice. Do I talk about the various assortment of characters in the Nac Mac Feegle ? Miss Tick? The Toad? Or Tiffany Herself.
If you have been a Discworld reader and have not read the Tiffany Aching books for whatever reason, do yourself a service and pick this one up.

This was my first Terry Pratchett book and Krivens if it wasn't the most fun I've had reading in a book in a long time! Its so well written and I just loved every second of it! I'm on to A Hat Full of Sky now and I'll probably be reading all of the disc world books!
