I've only read a few Discworld novels so far and for an author known for satire and deflating genre conventions, I'm continually surprised by how sincere Pratchett is. Also by his strong opinions on what it means to be a witch. I think he gets it right.

"Then turn selfishness into a weapon! Make all things yours! Make other lives and dreams and hopes yours! Protect them! Save them! Bring them into the sheepfold! Walk the gale for them! Keep away the wolf! My dreams! My brother! My family! My land! My world! How dare you try to take these things, because they are mine!
I have a duty!"

Tiffany made for a fantastic smart stout-hearted protagonist and I loved how determined she was to find her brother while only being equipped with a frying pan.

The humour was once again was top tier, and the Wee Free Men brought plenty of hilarity to the novel. My favourite of the brothers (who incidently had brilliant names) were Rob Anybody and Not-as-big-as-Medium-Sized-Jock-but-bigger-than-Wee-Jock-Jock.

The only aspect that I struggled to always wrap my head round was the distortion between reality and dream but after reading over certain paragraphs a couple of times I soon understood what had happened/was going on.
