Delightful! I really enjoy Hibbert’s easy, charming, witty prose and how she captures the feeling of a developing crush. It took me a second to get into this one, but by the time the MCs strike up some banter in the emails they trade I was pretty well in the tank for it! Glad to have been in Chloe’s shoes for a time, including her experiences with chronic pain/illness. Thrilled to see that representation in a full, confident, growing woman MC. Might have enjoyed Eve Brown’s story a bit more, likely bc the portrayal of neurodiversity resonated with me personally, but it’s totally fine to read the series out of order.

I really liked how the characters were both adoring and amorous! The smutty bits were fun! Hibbert does a great job of choreographing hot, real scenes focused on women’s pleasure that don’t use cringey language that makes you want to crawl out of your skin midway through.

I initially found the audiobook narrator choice a little odd since her default narration felt like a better fit for Gigi (or Lady Danbury) than the voice she created for Chloe. But it grew on me a lot and was worth it for how swoony and specific she made Red’s dialogue.

I loved this book. Chloe and Red are so funny and cute and adorable. Their relationship is so beautiful. The way Red cares for her and the way Chloe puts herself out there! The sex scenes are nice and spicy. The representation is so well done. Chloe’s disability is a part of her but doesn’t define her. I was giggling and laughing and smiling I loved it.

This book was rather delightful. It's absolute brain candy, but I really appreciated the uniqueness of a main female love interest being chronically ill and disabled.

I also liked Red quite a bit, which is surprising because I'm usually not a big fan of men in romance novels. But he reminded me of my partner, with his compassion and always paying close attention to Chloe and anticipating her needs. I saw some reviews complaining that he was a mind reader, but I disagree. He simply paid attention to her physical signs of pain and exhaustion and acted accordingly. Literally the least we can expect from a devoted partner, in my opinion.

The smut wasn't for me, but that's not unusual. It also was unnecessarily dramatic at times, but I feel like that's easily forgiven with books like this.

Overall, I found it to be a very relaxing and fun read with much appreciated diversity and accurate disability representation.

It took me about 75 pages to get into this (and I slightly considered DNFing it, but pushed through), but it was enjoyable and flew through once I got to it. I also like that this epilogue didn’t go directly into marriage but just a continuation of their list building.

I love how the focus of the characters' isn't on their problems or hardships, but finding ways to work through or around them in a satisfying way.
