I loved this book. Maybe the appeal of this book depends on where you are in your life, but it hit me at just the right time.

The Time Of My Life by Cecelia Ahern is a story about Lucy. Her life has gone downhill; she broke up with her boyfriend, lost her apartment, lost her job and got a new one that she hates. She spends her time avoiding family and friends. She lies to everyone, all the time. One day, she meets Life, which is a man that personifies Lucy's life. Life is helping Lucy to stop ignoring her own life and start living it.

It's odd, life is represented in a human form, and it works. I've never read a character like Life before and it feels awkward, but he's such a joy to read. The story's funny, touching and hard to put down. It really gets me thinking, am I making the most of my life and doing things I enjoy? Many of us have wrapped up in life and stuck in a rut, and we need to unwind ourselves and make positive changes in life. As unfortunately, I don’t think your life will come in a human form. I wonder how does my life look like.....

I love love love the concept of this book, I absolutely adore Cecelia.

This book's clever take on spunky yet unhappy white, college educated heroine surprised me! Lucy's happiness isn't completely tied up in her man! How refreshing! Her Life as her companion is a clever device and I really never knew what was going to happen next. I definitely want to read more by this author.
emotional funny lighthearted

This book seemed extremely LONG. As a huge Cecelia Ahern fan, this was slightly disappointing. Wish it had more of a "Sixth Sense" twist to it in the end as many of her books have a little make-believe magic to them. Typically don't struggle to read her books, but this one seemed to drag just a little.

Wanted to give this one star but thought that since I actually finished it, I should give it one extra...although I suspect the finishing had more to do with the fact that I am on vacation and didn't have another paperback...
