I absolutely loved this book! The very last paragraph brought tears to my eyes. It was then that I thought of my own life.

I would have NEVER picked up this book myself but I’m thankful I’ve read it. Truthfully, I’d give it 3.5 stars because it’s not my favourite gene but it’s surprised me. It’s very lighthearted & Inspiring. I like the fact that it makes you sit back and think “what am I doing wrong in my life and how can I fix it”. & I’m never one to say no to a little romance either so this book was a great read in between my dark romtansty. Will try other books from her!
Cecilia Ahern is one of my favorites but this was a bit disappointing.

I really, really enjoyed this book. I found the main character, Lucy, incredibly relatable and likeable, despite her apparent flaws.
Quite an odd book to get into at first, I'd already attempted to start it 3 times over the last year and not getting past the first few chapters (hence why 1 star taken off.), but it's incredibly rewarding if you stick with it.
I would recommend before starting this book that you try to accept as normal that people can 'meet' their lives, that they are physical people too. This is never really explained, so just assume it to be the norm! It's a very interesting concept, and the whole book reflects on the ideas of self-care and self-love in a different way, that I really enjoyed as it developed.

A good book that took me awhile to get into, I was recommended it by a friend who really enjoyed it. I found the character Blake an idiot but Jamie was really cute. The love the way some of the characters change especially Lucy even though her stubbornness was irritating at first :s
Lucy Silchester is receiving notes from someone that she would rather avoid. It is Life. Yes, Life keeps sending Lucy notes. One of the notes says ”Dear Lucy Silchester, you have an appointment for Monday, July 27, 2011. Yours sincerely, Life.“
Lucy avoids meeting with Life until she can not avoid him any longer. Yep, Life is standing at Lucy’s front door.
I never read Ms. Ahern’s popular, P.S. I Love You book that was turned into a movie. I did see the movie and liked it. So I decided to give Ms. Ahern a try with this book. Who would not want to know what “life” has to say to you. I can think of pros and cons to this question.
The pros:
Life could tell me where I am failing at and correct me.
Life would be like my personal fortune teller.
Life and me would get to be better friends.
The cons:
Having Life around all the time telling me things could get annoying.
Sometimes it would be nice to have some mystery.
Who wants Life staring at you all the time.
I really wished that I could have known what type of person “Life” really was in Lucy’s life. Just from the little bit that I did get to know of Life, I think he was a no excuses type of guy. I never got to know him well because Lucy turned me off. What with all of her bad attitude and her constant lies. I tried to get past it but after a while I just couldn’t and had to put this book down.

This is not the first book I read from Cecelia Ahern. I think she can put the life into other prespectives. Just like in this book. I love the basic idea of it (the "meeting my life"-stuff). But it took a third of the book till it got exciting. It wasn't as well-written as other novels of her. Still her books are worth reading to have a bit of rest in the rushing hours.
