Couldn't finish this one. As compelling as it was I found the story too shocking to continue in my current state of mind. One day I will finish it, as I believe it is something everyone should read.

I’m glad I read this book.  It was not very well written.  But quite informative and a story worth hearing.

History plus a powerful three-generational story. What more could one ask for? Favorite non-political book on Communist China.
