This is a brilliant adaptation of 1984, capturing the darkness and somber moods of the book. Well worth reading

A text-heavy, faithful retelling of 1984 in comic book form. Beyond being a Cliff Notes speed read of the book, I don't really see the point. The cartoon pictures sap the impact of the original novel (Room 101 is plodding rather than terrifying). I think there is a way to make 1984 into a comic, but it would be picture heavy, dialogue only, and much more atmospheric and unsettling art.

DNF. Despite enjoying the original novel, I just couldn’t get into this.
