ALL the big heart-googly eyed emojis and stars for 50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover!!! One of the most adorable, completely male POV, books I've read in a long time!

I can already tell that the entire Bower family is going to worm their way into my heart and reside there until the end of time. Edgar has already set up shop and made a permanent residence in there, pink couch and all...I'll let him explain the princess decor, don't worry, he makes it look very manly. But, back to Edgar and his 50 ways to win back his girl...he is one of the most likeable and relatable characters that I've instantly fallen in love with basically from page one in awhile. He's filled with quirky humor and tons of internal freak outs that made me giggle over and over. He's also totally sweet and adorkably charming in his own way...seriously, what's not to like...aside from the fact that he completely and totally disappeared ten years ago and broke his girlfriend's heart, but hey, he's back and trying to make amends.

Delilah Moon - great name by the way - is still residing in their small hometown of Windfall and she has that small town on her side when Edgar comes back. I love small town books because of the close-tight knit communities and this book does it justice.

Seriously, or maybe, not so seriously, 50 Ways is filled with tons of humor, great secondary characters, and a likeable guy who feels really deeply about pretty much everything and everyone in his life. Winning back his first love should be a piece of cake-right?

I can't wait to return to Windfall and see how each of Edgar's brothers fare as each of them return to their former lives after a decade of being gone. The giddiness makes me chuckle everytime I think of it.

Heartbreak and Make Up

Siskind has outdone herself. 50 Ways is everything a second chance needs and then some. E is without a doubt swoony. This madly in love man is the Hero in his story and a few dreams, I'm sure. Their love was cosmic and other worldly. And despite the villian's attempts- they get their happily ever after anyway. To Mars and Back.

50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover is a breath of fresh air wrapped up in a second-chance romance. This genre is so difficult to do well, and author Kelly Siskind understands the assignment.

When Edgar Bower and his girlfriend Delilah Moon finally spend their first night together, neither could have anticipated that it would be their last. When Edgar’s family is pulled into the Witness Protection Program, they’re separated without a word. Ten years later, he’s finally free to be himself again, and he’s determined to win Delilah back. But Delilah has her own secrets, and her own scars.

One of the most compelling elements of this particular story is the reason why the main characters were separated in the first place. The Witness Protection Program is a pretty compelling reason. Edgar has no choice but to leave with his family, leaving his soulmate behind. Readers will obviously have to lean into elements of suspend-disbelief for this plotline and some of the other plot elements to work, but it is executed deftly, and sets the stage for future books regarding the rest of Edgar’s siblings.

This is single POV from the male protagonist’s perspective, which was a surprising and effective narrative choice. Edgar as a hero is both sensitive and strong, and a welcome counterpoint to the hyper-alpha male that is often present in the genre.

In all, it was a read that left me wanting to know more about the universe that Siskind has created, and I greatly appreciated the depth of Edgar and Delilah as characters.

Thank you to Montlake and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

50 Ways to Win Back Your Lover is the first book in the Bower Boys series and the first book I have read by this author. My attention was caught once I read the blurb and I’m so glad I had a chance to read it. The book was well written, fast paced, and had likable characters. There is a prequel to the book, but I think reading it is optional. I love how real the characters were and how straightforward the book is. Delilah and Edgar’s story is emotional and so sad. I was cheering for Edgar to win back Delilah, his childhood love, and the life he could have had if he had been allowed to stay. I really look forward to seeing Edgar’s brothers find their HEA.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a somewhat heavier second chance romance told refreshingly from the POV of the male lead, Edgar. Highschool sweethearts, Edgar Bower and Delilah Moon were inseparable, that is until Edgar's money-laundering father caused the whole family to be torn away and put into the Witness Protection program for their own safety. Edgar never got a chance to say goodbye or explain his disappearance and has yearned to reconnect with Delilah ever since.

Ten years later his father is no longer an issue and Edgar is free to return to his hometown only to find that Delilah is now engaged and has no interest in hearing his explanations. I loved how hard Edgar works to win Delilah over and their undeniable chemistry. Told through flashbacks to their past we get to see how they first fell in love and the ways their deep connections still exist.

Great on audio narrated by John Lane, I'm excited to see what's next in this series that feature Edgar's other brothers. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review. This was my first book by Canadian romance author Kelly Siskind and definitely won't be my last!

I've missed Kelly so much!
This book is full of Kelly's familiar story elements. Fun, banter, and emotionally charged moments that make you feel fuzzy inside.
However, this series feels that has something more... just more...
Life was really cruel to the Bower Boys and their mom; one incident ruined their lives and made them move away from everything they knew in Windfall.
They've been away from the quirky little town for 10 years now and they cannot go back!
A change in fortune allows the boys to reconnect with former friends, enemies, and lovers.
This is where our story starts and the series kicks off.
E, aka Edgar, and Delilah are the first characters that are trying to reconnect, and trust me it is not an easy task.
I got a bit irritated by E's optimistic and sweet approach to this whole situation. At a first glance, he seems a bit scatter-headed and the most delusional person in this story.
I'm a big girl and I can admit when I'm wrong.
E is just a hopeless romantic and a man irrevocably in love with Delilah. and nothing can make him not think of Delilah 24/7.
I liked the second half of the book a bit more since things started progressing and we learned more about the characters in this series. This is when the crying started and my heart moved permanently in the Bowers' household.

Edgar and Delilah did their part and introduced us to this lovely series.
Good job guys, I'm already hooked!

Thank you to @greyspromo and @netgalley for the copy!

This was between a 2.5 and 3 read. I just couldn't get into this story. It is very slow moving, and the fact that it's only told from the male's POV is a mark against it for me. The hero is also not my kind of hero. I understand that betas are for a lot of people, they just aren't for me. I found it super annoying that Delilah held it against Edgar that he disappeared without telling her, but he was in witness protection for crying out loud. What was he supposed to do? Take a chance on getting his whole family killed to tell a 16 year old girl where he was? I was almost expecting a light hearted read, but that's not what I got from this one.
I voluntarily received an advanced readers copy of this book.

50 Ways to Love your Lover is a beautifully written second chance love story.

The entire book is told form Edgar’s POV. He has a list of 50 ways to win back the love of his life Delilah.
Their story is heartbreaking but so beautiful at the same time. I loved them together and having flashbacks when they were young and in love made my heart full of love for them.

I fell in love with Edgar. Reading a second chance romance from his perspective was everything I could ask for in a romance book. The author did great with creating butterflies in my stomach.
I want to move to Windfall and have my own Edgar.
Loved this book. It has everything you can ask for : second chance , small town , male’s pov , all the feels.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read it.

Edgar was a happy seventeen-year-old in love with his best friend when his world was turned upside down without warning. His life changed in an instant when his family was spirited away into witness protection because his father was a criminal and a cartel put a bounty on the family. Every day of the last decade has been torture for him. He lives with crushing regret that he was forced to walk away from his friends and his home and especially Delilah but the lives of his entire family depend on that clean break so there’s no going back.

The cartel threat is neutralized after ten long years and he’s determined to win back his one true love. He races to his hometown to explain but Delilah wants nothing to do with him. The entire town appears to be angry with him, which really didn’t make sense. The entire family vanished overnight so obviously something major happened and he was just a kid so surely had no control over it. Eventually his story gets out and people are more sympathetic so it’s all good. In the meantime, he puts all of his energy into winning Delilah over.

I really loved Edgar. The entire book is from his POV and he’s hilarious. He’s a little bit tortured and understandably so, but it doesn’t hold him back. He’s sweet and determined and I was rooting for him from the start. I probably would have loved Delilah too, but I couldn’t really connect with her since we never get her POV. This is a clever premise for a series and Edgar's story was fun to read. It’s a good book but I think Edgar and Delilah's story would have been a great book with dual-POV and more insight into her. This is my first book by the author and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
