I didn't really like it (realistic fiction... Ugh) but not badly written (the reason for the extra star). It also got better at the end but still not my kind of book. I would have rather (MUCH rather) read a fictional fantsy book but it was ok.... I will not (repeat WILL NOT) read any more ny Carl Hiaasen because I hate (abhor) reading nonfiction and realistic but will if I have to (this was a novel I had to read for school). Sorry all you nonfiction lovers but I despise nonfiction. >:O

I love this story and I love owls, and I am so excited to introduce it to my very first group of middle schoolers this fall!! There are so many teaching activities I can do with this book!
