A decent ending. I liked the twists (even though I saw many of them coming) and the moral ambiguities the final novel elicited. Still didn't care anything about the love story.
Great ending to this dystopian trilogy! I love the pace of this book and all the twists with the characters. I was a little confused with the ending and Dr. Barnes. Maybe it was because I was so excited to see what happened that I read it too fast, though. :-) I highly recommend this trilogy!
Actual Rating: 2.5
I loved the first book & enjoyed the second one in this series. I hate reading the third books in trilogies because the ending is hit or miss; it’s either I hate it or I love it.
The beginning & middle of the book wasn’t bad, but lacked a lot of the intensity that the other books had. The ending was abysmal, the last 40 pages I was wondering how it was going to wrap up and end. Blink during the ending and you feel like you’ve missed something! The book seemed a little dragged out in the middle but then wraps up so quickly.
It wasn’t horrible but there were moment I wanted to see more of, and others that could have been cut shorter. Less thinking and more do from Cia would have been nice.

This was a fantastic ending to the trilogy. It was refreshing to read a book that wasn’t predictable. The ending was slightly more open ended than I typically prefer. But isn’t there beauty in getting to write your own ending?
I loved this book! I loved that Cia is so determined to prove the president wrong and prove that she would make a great leader. I love how she takes all nine of her classes and her internship and still manages to hang out with all her friends and plot how to take the government down. I hate that she finds out her brother is a rebel and how he is in danger. I hate how one of the rebel leaders betrays Michal and kills him when he brings valuable information. I hate that her brother dies in the end but I expected it to happen. I love that she and Tomas team up again to search for a way to stop the Testing. I love how she is chosen to kill the people in charge of running the Tests. I love how they are able to succeed and rescue previous candidates and save the future candidates. I'm so sad this series is over because I loved it so much! Definitely would recommend this to anyone who loved the Hunger Games series. 10 stars!!
This series had so much more to offer.
The ending was kinda boring. The author repeats a hell of a lot too

Cia has a dilemma. Does she agree with the testing and how the leaders of the Commonwealth have been chosen or should she help to put an end to it?
Cia uncovers information about the Government she has fought so hard to defend and the Testing that she has wanted to be a part of her whole life. What Cia decides to do with that information and how she handles facing a Civil War is what this book revolves around.
Cia is a natural leader and her friends will follow her through whatever she thinks is best, but she must decide who are friends and who is trying to gain something else by using her.
A great book that I recommend for teens and adults.
