I listened to the audio version as I did with the first two in the series. I found myself so annoyed by the repetition, and if I had to hear the words "transit communicator" one more time I was going to scream. The action was incredibly slow, much unlike the first two books. And there was just an air of uncertainty that remained throughout the whole book, even after it ended. Not a great ending to a series I enjoyed so much in the beginning for its gritty portrayal of a dystopian world.

I'm pretty happy with how this ended. Considering some other trilogy finales this is pretty good.
This series just went downhill after book 1.
Cia is the best. Her brothers used to take her dolls and lock them away and her dad taught her how to pick the lock. She hasn't used that skill in years but hasn't lost it!
She's never attached a timing mechanism to an explosive, but helped her father create timers for irrigation systems! Same thing! She can remember how to do that all on her own! She can do everything!
And issues she comes across, she learned how to deal with it either in school (as if postapocalytic schools are any good), her brothers, or her father. She can do all!
Also did I mention she’s the youngest and she’s small and fast? She doesn’t want to hurt anyone but will if that’s what it takes to complete her mission but she feels bad about hurting others the whole entire time.
