I don’t like saying this, but this is one of the worst books I have ever read in my life. Truly horrendous. I’m so sorry to the author, I hope she never reads reviews like this. She did way too much and at the same time so little it was almost laughable.
Check trigger warnings (I’m gonna add “cult” as one here as well)

Take all those trigger warnings, and imagine a book that pretends like a super sexy man, who can barely communicate without getting extremely angry, solves all of the heroines trauma and past. With sex. Hmm. I just don’t buy it at all

Dark, twisted, gritty, boundary pushing, and yet, somehow, it's somewhat romantic. Oh, and addictive. I wouldn't say I loved everything that went on at all times. The cult stuff was sad and creepy. The MC was violent and Styx's interactions with OW sometimes bothered me. Despite that, I was drawn to the characters and wanted good things for them.

it’s a dark book that is full of terribly written characters and an even worse plot line. Could not finish and won’t be going back.

This book was so absolutely amazing. Dark and painful but beautiful nonetheless. I read both on kindle and listened on audio and the narrators were fantastic, especially given the  narrator for Styx did his stutter very well.
I’m so excited for more of the books in this series (especially Riders, don’t come at me).

This was my first MC type book and I can't say I'm excited for anymore. Huge plead for people to check out TWs. They were intense.

I enjoyed Mae's discovery of the world and her coming to terms with everything she has been through. I think Rider and Mae really helped each other in ways no one else around them could.

I couldn't get into Styx and Mae's love story. He didn't understand her in the slightest and she's been so traumatized the first sign of kindness sticks with her. If I'm being honest neither of them tried to understand the other.

The language throughout the book was a huge no for me. I didn't appreciate how the men talked about or treated the women- even calling the women they loved 'bitches'. Maybe this is a normal thing in MC style books but it definitely didn't work for me.

Overall I don't think this book was for me.
