I’m so excited for more of the books in this series (especially Riders, don’t come at me).
Graphic: Rape, Physical abuse, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Blood, Violence, Pedophilia, Child abuse, and Emotional abuse
Moderate: Gaslighting, Self harm, Death, Confinement, Gun violence, and Murder
A heavy theme in this series is religious abuse and cults and the things that happen in them.blanditee's review against another edition

I enjoyed Mae's discovery of the world and her coming to terms with everything she has been through. I think Rider and Mae really helped each other in ways no one else around them could.
I couldn't get into Styx and Mae's love story. He didn't understand her in the slightest and she's been so traumatized the first sign of kindness sticks with her. If I'm being honest neither of them tried to understand the other.
The language throughout the book was a huge no for me. I didn't appreciate how the men talked about or treated the women- even calling the women they loved 'bitches'. Maybe this is a normal thing in MC style books but it definitely didn't work for me.
Overall I don't think this book was for me.

Minor: Death and Death of parent

Styx is a total alpha. Despite him not talking because of his stutter and using ASL to communicate, everyone paid respect to him. He can be too territorial that made me wanna punch him, but understandable since he lived in the MC world.
But I am more intrigued by Flame. This fucker plays with knives and cut and kill in every unimaginable way possible for entertainment and gets aroused by doing it. Yet cannot be touched from the waist down. I want him..... Someone should drag me back to therapy immediately. Thank you.
TW: The rape/child abuse/pedophilia are done by the antagonist, not the main characters/hero
Graphic: Child abuse, Gun violence, Murder, Pedophilia, Rape, and Violence
