This book made me so mad that I have a job and responsibilities because as soon as picked it up, all I wanted to do was keep reading.
It has absolutely reignited my obsession with pirate stories and I am ready to jump into Namesake with both feet to continue the adventure.
It's everything I wanted it to be but also so much better than expected. The writing is stunning, the pacing was perfect, every character felt so alive and I felt like I was walking beside Fable through every moment of her story.
If you want an action-packed book with a badass female main character, this is a great place to start. It felt rich and real and had me hooked. I can tell that this is going to become a comfort series for me and I will be shouting from the rooftops for people to read it.

it bothers me so much when the fmc and mmc get separated following a moment of intimacy after which they donβt get to speak again until they reunite in the next book. why do authors keep doing this?

What a beautifully written tale that was full of adventure! I was immersed into the world of the Narrows in such an intriguing way. We all wanted to be a form of a pirate at some point in our life, right? Fable has a father that she barely knows for reasons she doesn't know. Can you imagine not knowing why your parent distanced themself from you when you are at your most vulnerable?! TRAGIC. Young is brilliant with character development throughout the entire novel. Every character changes and evolves. I felt like the Narrows could be a real place and I wanted to learn more about it even when the novel ended.

Bored. Not really much to the plot. I was hoping for some pirate adventure stuff but there's none of that. I kept waiting for something to happen but it kind of never did. I'm honestly not sure why this book has such high ratings! Maybe because of the amazing cover? The characters were boring and I didn't feel anything for any of them
