I thought this was a great YA fantasy. It gives off the vibes of pirates meets elemental magic and I love how descriptive this author is with the world and how easy it is to imagine what is happening.

I’m glad I read the prequel before this book because it gives perspective on certain characters and fills in some of the gaps that you otherwise wouldn’t know if you didn’t read it beforehand.

I enjoyed the character growth between all the characters and loved the found family of the crew. I was definitely left surprised with the ending and can’t wait to see what happens in book 2!

I am rating it 3 stars but towards the end it was creeping up on a 4. I also just read a new all time favourite book just before this one so I don’t think I fully let that other one go. I can’t wait to read the next one though!!!!!

Eine Piratengeschichte (ist meine erste) fand sie ganz tolli, vor allem nach nen totalen romance buch geht es hier nicht hauptsächlich um romance (hab es nach right away gelesen) und das fand ich ganz erfrischend.E s ist einfach spannend und das perfekte Einsteigerbuch für den Piraten-trope !!
