This was pretty cute. I read it mostly because I was curious about the hoarding angle which is not a mental health issue I see addressed in fiction, particularly not YA fiction. The characters working their issues together worked pretty well and their relationship didn't feel rushed or anything. The mother's reason for hoarding felt a little weird to me, but in general it wasn't handled badly.

I really loved this book! I only had to knock this down a bit due to the romance being a bit too fluffy and dramatic for me at times, but besides that it was everything I could've hoped for and more!
This novel just feels so realistic, from the character relationships, the friendship between Darcy and Marisol, and of course the family dynamics going on as well. It was a heartwarming story that I believe many would be able to relate to in some aspect. As someone who doesn't typically enjoy contemporary romance novels, this one really hit home for me. It all flowed perfectly, with just the right amount of conflict sprinkled in between. It didn't feel rushed or half-assed in any way, and you could clearly get a feel for each character early on.
Honestly, this is one that's worth checking out! It was a breath of fresh air and left me all fuzzy inside.
